Avery LaRue is a dynamic vocalist and performer passionate about storytelling through song. Her journey into music was sparked by a deep admiration for legendary voices like Judy Garland, Ella Fitzgerald, and Julie London. Their timeless elegance and emotive delivery inspire Avery’s approach to performance, blending classic charm with a versatile vocal style. 

With a foundation in opera and a flair for musical theater, jazz, and timeless pop, Avery brings a captivating presence to every stage. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Houston. Avery has graced both operatic and theatrical productions, including roles in Fiddler on the Roof, Evita, Miss Saigon, and Hairspray, as well as operas such as Dinner at Eight, Hänsel und Gretel, and The Ballad of Baby Doe, to name a few.

A true musical chameleon, Avery’s versatility shines through her ability to seamlessly transition from the soaring melodies of Puccini to the sultry swing of jazz. With a wide vocal range spanning F3 to D6 and the ability to sing in multiple languages—including English, French, German, Italian, Latin, and Spanish—Avery seamlessly moves between genres and styles with grace and authenticity. Her performances have taken her from the Moores Opera Center to The Kennedy Center, where she lent her voice to prestigious choral performances.
